The succeeds symbol (≻) is used in math to denote that an element is strictly greater than another element in some order or preference.
The precedes symbol (≺) is used in math to denote that an element is strictly less than another element in some order or preference.
The succeeds-under-relation symbol (⊱) denotes that one element succeeds another under a specified order relation R. It is a relational variant of the succeeds sign (≻).
