Magnitude Notation

In math, the magnitude of a vector is written as two vertical bars on either side of the vector.

To compute the magnitude of a vector see this formula.

Alternative Notations

Sometimes, the magnitude is written with a single bar on either side.

This site uses the double bar notation.
