Eulers Number Notation
Euler’s Number is represented in mathematics with the letter and has unique exponential properties. When given a numeric value the number has the approximate value below.
However, this site considers purely as shorthand for the exponential function as shown below. The reason for this choice are discussed on the exponential function page.
The numeric value is still very important in math and is the result of passing into the exponential function.
Euler's number is a naturally occurring number related to exponential growth and exponential decay.
The exponential function models exponential growth. The output of the function at any given point is equal to the rate of change at that point. For real number input, the function conceptually returns Euler's number raised to the value of the input.
