Construct Equilateral Triangle
This example demonstrates how to construct an equilateral triangle using a compass and ruler. An equilateral triangle is a triangle whose sides are of equal length.
Start by drawing the base of the triangle as a line with two end points.
Using a compass place the spike of the compass at one point and the drawing tip at the second point and draw an arc upwards.
Repeat the step above for the other point.
Draw a dot at the point where the two arcs intersect.
Draw lines from the new point to the first two points.
We have finished constructing an equilateral triangle.
